THE GREAT WAVE OFF KANAGAWA BY KATSUSHIKA HOKUSAI & THE ASTROLABE comprises two impressive works in one. Hokusai's The Great Wave Off Kanagawa print is printed on the colorful dial, case and strap, while Muhammad ibn Ahmad Al-Battûtî's The Astrolabe is depicted on the reverse. On the nipple is printed the phrase "LOUVRE ABU DHABI". In BASQUIAT'S PAY! reproduces Jean-Michel Basquiat's Untitled work, with the crown forming the central element of the dial, framed by a black watch case. The strap with the print displays the different textures and rough oil stick writing that characterize Basquiat's work, while the black back of the strap works in contrast with these elements.
